EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) tapping is a simple yet effective method for
reducing stress and anxiety by tapping on specific meridian points on the body. Here's a
quick guide: Here's a step-by-step guide to get you started with EFT tapping:
1. Identify the Issue: Focus on something specific that's bothering you, like anxiety,
a physical ailment, or a bad memory.
2. Rate the Intensity: On a scale from 0 to 10, rate how intense the issue feels.
3. Set Up Phrase: While tapping on the side of your hand (Karate Chop point),
repeat a setup phrase like, "Even though I have this [issue], I deeply and
completely accept myself."
4. Tap the Points: Gently tap on the following points while focusing on your issue:
o Eyebrow: On the brow bone where your eyebrows begin.
o Side of the Eye: On the bone directly along the outside of either eye.
o Under the Eye: On the bone directly underneath either eye.
o Under the Nose: The area directly beneath the nose and above the upper
lip.
o Under the Mouth: Just below your bottom lip and above the chin.
o Collarbone: About an inch down and out from where your collarbones
meet in the center.
o Under the Arm: About four inches beneath the armpit on your side.
o Top of the Head: Directly on the crown of your head.
5. Repeat: Continue tapping while repeating a reminder phrase like, "This [issue]" or
"I accept myself" until you feel a shift in your emotions.
6. Rate Again: After completing the sequence, rate the intensity of your issue again.

Hi and welcome to Tap to Shine. Thank you for stopping by. My name is Nela Muzik and I
am a certified EFT Practitioner. I've always been fascinated by how the human mind
works. I remember even as a little child of the age of 7 or 8 I was wondering how it is
possible, that some kids are confident and do everything seemingly with ease and why
on the other hand other kids are always struggling no matter how hard they try. Since my
teenage years I've been studying variety of psychological and spiritual approaches.
This passion led me to study Humanity Studies, majoring in Psychology and
Anthropology, in Prague, Czech Republic. My journey didn’t stop there—I spent over a
decade working in healthcare across the United Kingdom, deepening my understanding
of human behaviour and healing.
In 2023, in Kolín, Czech Republic, I had the privilege to be mentored and trained by Sindy
Katayama, a renowned EFT therapist and pioneer of the practice in the Czech Republic.
She studied EFT directly under its founder, Gary Craig.
My mission is to help my clients to release their blocks and limiting beliefs, heal their old
wounds and traumas so they can let go of the past and soundly move to the bright,
happier future. Through my EFT therapy and coaching I aim to help them to align more
with their authentic self, so they can shine more of their light to the world. And by doing
so they can live more fulfilling, happier lives and inspire others to do the same.
I have implemented EFT in my own life, and it has helped me a LOT. Even today, I am
amazed at how beautifully it heals and works. Trust me, it helps to overcome old

History of EFT Tapping - From Where It All Started!
EFT Tapping was started in the 1980s and 90s and is rooted in the idea of acupoints.
According to traditional Chinese Medicine, there are 12 major meridians (channels) that
carry energy throughout the human body. The meridians have acupoints that can be
stimulated by acupressure.
EFT Tapping has evolved significantly over time, and its journey can be traced through
the following overview:
1. Ancient Origins: The concept of tapping on specific points on the body for healing
dates back thousands of years, with practices like acupuncture in Traditional Chinese
Medicine using similar principles.
2. Thought Field Therapy (TFT): In the 1980s, psychologist Roger Callahan developed
TFT, which involved tapping on meridian points to address emotional issues. This laid
the groundwork for what would become EFT.
3. Development of EFT: In the early 1990s, Gary Craig expanded on TFT and created
EFT, simplifying the process and making it more accessible to the general public. Craig's
work popularized the technique and introduced it to a wider audience.
4. Modern Usage: Since its inception, EFT tapping has gained popularity as a wonderful
tool for reducing stress, anxiety, and other emotional issues. It is used by many people
worldwide.
Studies and Research on EFT Tapping

responsible for increasing stress levels - that’s impressive!

● Depression: 20 studies were conducted on EFT tapping related to its impact on
depression, and it showed a massive reduction in depressive symptoms.
● Anxiety: EFT tapping has the capacity to lower anxiety levels significantly. Many
shreds of evidence confirm the EFT’s ability to reduce anxiety.
● Pain: EFT tapping is helpful in benefitting people with frozen shoulder, back pain,
tension headaches, and other chronic pains.
● Addiction: Several studies have shown reduced psychological distress, with
improvements maintained 90 days post-intervention. EFT is useful in addiction
treatment and recovery, particularly for managing symptoms linked to negative
childhood experiences.
● Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PSTD): EFT tapping may help military veterans
cope with their post-traumatic stress disorder. A study was conducted with the veterans,
and their stress levels were significantly reduced, and 80% of them were no longer
having signs of PSTD.
● Fears & Phobias: A study was conducted at a regional university in the United
States that showed that EFT tapping can help reduce anxiety associated with specific
fears and phobias.
● Variety of Health Issues: There are many other studies that show that EFT tapping
can help treat other health conditions, including food cravings, low self-esteem, and
procrastination.
The results vary from person to person. Some start noticing improvements after one
